New Concept Album

September 19, 2009
Hi Country Music Fans! Our panel has just approved our next album plans. These plans are for a new album titled My Country Roots. In this album we will do songs from Bob Wills, Hank Williams, Lefty Frizzell, Roger Miller and other artists that make up the roots of country music in my opinion. It has been a long time since an artist has released songs made famous by these traditional country legends. I expecgt this album to be well received by DJs and fans. If you have any suggestions please post them on my guestbook. I read it daily.

A Tribute To Hank Williams
-
June 18, 2007
We are just wrapping up production on our latest song to make it onto our fourth album and we are really excited about it. The song "Honky Tonk In Heaven" has been posted on our music page so our fans can hear what a great album we are putting together.
The song is a tribute to Hank Williams. With the help of master steel guitarist Billy Phelps we try to take listeners back to the early 1950's when Hank Williams music filled the airways everywhere. We are very proud of our work on the album and especially the two songwriters who penned the song into existence, Mike Heath and Bob Alexander. Thanks to everyone who helped out. Listen to Honky Tonk In Heaven right now only on our music page.
A Great Steel Guitarist
-
June 17, 2007
One of this country's all-time best steel guitarists has just made Hank Williams proud. We are winding up production on another new song. This one is call "Honky Tonk In Heaven". It is a song about the late great Hank Williams. I just listened to the steel guitar tracks on this song and I want to tell you all that you're in for a special treat. The steel guitar on this song is being played by a fantastic steel guitarist out of Houston, Texas named Billy Phelps.
Just last week I went to see the last surviving member of the Drifting Cowboys (Hank Williams band). His name is Don Helms and he lives in Nashville, Tennessee. I watched Don play a tribute to Hank Williams on his steel guitar and was really impressed. I went away thinking that Don still plays as well as he ever did!
Now I hear the great steel guitar work that Billy Phelps did on our song Honky Tonk In Heaven and I can truly say that he is destined to become a member of the Steel Guitar Players Hall Of Fame someday.
My hat's off to Billy for his great work. Hank would be proud.

Country music has lost a great talent

April 17, 2007
I was saddened to hear of the untimely death of one of our valued songwriters - Buddy Lee. I will remember Buddy for his infectious enthusiasm that he spread to everyone that he came into contact with. I will miss his upbeat emails and his willingness to tie up the loose ends in our work that I thought I was too busy to do. Buddy Lee was a joy to know and work with. His passing will be deeply felt here at Ozark Records and Bull Shoals Music. I guess the Lord must have needed a really good songwriter. Good luck my friend. We'll miss you.
